Long awaited second album from acclaimed progressive doom merchants KING GOAT. Artwork by Travis Smith (Opeth, Iced Earth, Avenged Sevenfold, Katatonia). Forming in 2012, Brightons King Goat quickly deviated from their initial aim to be a traditional sounding band. With a vast range of influences, both inside and outside of metal, King Goats sound started to take on a much more progressive bent. King Goat released two well-received EPs in 2013 and 2014 before the highly anticipated self-release of their debut album, Conduit, the critical response to which has been overwhelmingly positive. In 2017 King Goat signed with Italian cult label Aural Music to re-release first EP and debut LP in one deluxe reissue in digipack CD and Gatefold splatter double vinyl LP. Now its time for album no. 2. Titled 'Debt of Aeons' in the bands own words: ""The album is, in many ways, a reflection of the world in which it was conceived; the result of personal mental decline and the resultant pessimistic view of our species. This negativity permeates the record at an atomic level, seeping from between the riffs and spilling like bile from the lyrics themselves. Our sound further expands on the journey that Conduit began, exploring a multitude of paths to do justice to our vision. Debt of Aeons is upon us and were proud to release this record."" This follows KING GOATs steady rise as one of the most highly-regarded bands in British doom.
