Description

Goat Girl are from South London and you can hear that on her album too. Similar to their friends of Shame, Horsey, Fat White Family or the indie crooner King Krule, the sound of Goat Girl was influenced by the dirty and rough part of the metropolis south of the Thames. Far away from the tourist hotspots, a new scene has come together over the past few years, which focuses on the Venue The Windmill, which offers the bands affordable performance opportunities and has become a kind of clubhouse. Goat Girl have also played several shows there. The four band members all grew up in South London and sometimes went to school together. Her love for bands like The Slits or The Gun Club has brought her together. They recorded their debut album in Dan Carey's studio. With their pre-released singles, Crack Drool and Country Sleaze, the band ensured that they appeared in several watch lists for 2018 and has since been considered a great promise of the London indie scene. With their debut album, Goat Girl now solves this and will carry her confident music from South London into the world.
