About the Actor
Leicester-based Alexzandra Jackson, Producer of A Dozen Summers and festival director of The Short Cinema, deserves crediting for her work on this special teenage movie which recently in 2016 has received numerous awards including Best Film Award at the Tamariki Film Festival, New Zealand.
About the Director
Kenton Hall is British Canadian writer, actor, director and musician. Having initially trained as an actor, he began his career fronting the band `ist` releasing three critically-acclaimed albums between, 2001-2010. He moved back to film as a writer and actor in 2009, appearing in large roles in small films and small roles in big films. His debut feature as writer/director A Dozen Summers was released commercially in UK cinemas in August 2015 and has appeared at festivals in the UK, the United States, Spain, Chile, Ukraine, the Dominican Republic and Mexico, winning awards for Best Screenplay and Best Actress (for leads Scarlet Hall and Hero Hall) at the `Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Torremolinos` and Best Film at Tamariki Film Festival in New Zealand.
