Description

Triple-bill of teen comedies. In 'Superbad' (2007), two socially inept teenage boys are about to graduate from high school. Having been accepted into different colleges, the two are forced to contemplate life apart - a concept that induces severe separation anxiety in them both. Evan (Michael Cera) is sweet, smart, and generally terrified. Seth (Jonah Hill) is foul-mouthed, volatile, and all-consumed with the topic of human sexuality. The film portrays their misguided attempts to reverse a lifelong losing streak with the opposite sex in one panic-driven night - that awful, humiliating night you cherish for the rest of your life... In 'Not Another Teen Movie' (2001), when he is dumped by his girlfriend, popular football star Jake (Chris Evans) takes on a wager in which he is charged with transforming freaky-geeky art student Janey (Chyler Leigh) into a prom queen. After receiving an initially frosty reception, Jake begins to spend time with Janey, and the pair develop strong feelings for each other. But what will happen when she finds out about the bet? Finally, in 'Bring It On: In It to Win It' (2006), it's high noon for the cheerleading teams of two rivals schools as they face each other at the 'Cheer Camp Nationals'. When California high school senior Carson (Ashley Benson) arrives at the national cheerleading championships, she soon finds her team, the West High Sharks, up against chic New York outfit the East High Jets, led by spoilt brat Brooke (Cassie Scerbo). As the rivalry between the two teams builds, Carson falls for another cheerleader Penn (Michael Copon), not realising he's actually a Jet. Discovering the romance, Brooke challenges Carson to a 'cheer off', and it's not long before the no-holds-barred brawl that folllows changes both teams' chances for lifting the title.
