Don’t get me wrong this game was promising enough to be up with there with my favourite shooters but the online services are either low or non existant. I have contacted THQ and they confirmed they released the game with only American servers which makes playing from the UK really bad. Great game if you don’t mind waiting 15mins to get in a game with a low signal. The story is interesting but from the first scene the graphics are very poor (I went from Killzone 3 to this!), the gameplay is OK in an old fashioned kind of way - think pre-COD:MW. Multiplayer is the real reason I bought this and again it’s a let down, graphics OK but the maps are generally poor with the exception of the suburbs. I thought the snipers are over powered for the larger (ground control maps) although it did contain some good firefights for territory. Not BF:BC2 even with the heavy vehicles and not COD for the Deathmatch style games. I didn’t love MOD but the multuplayer was better, bottom line I’m back playing Killzone 3 multiplayer and still hitting BF:BC2 like a junkie to the needle! Great service from Simple Games. |
