It's also an enduring franchise for EA Sports, with the publisher's driving teams not getting a rest for the 2009 season. If you find the prospect of jumping head first into one of the most testosterone fuelled motor sports going (and, let's face it, they pretty much drive really fast tanks out on the tracks) fills you with trepidation, fear not! Four time Sprint Cup Series Champion, Jeff Gordon, is on hand to guide you through the game. You might need him, too. This year's entry into the series features an all new career mode that enables you to sign lucrative contracts, build your reputation and earn performance points in four racing series – the Sprint Cup Series, the Nationwide Series, the Craftsman truck Series and the Whelan Modified Tour. Also new this year is the on-line paint booth tool. Players can download a template from the EA Sports website and then it's up to them to make their car the most impressive (or prettiest) on the track.
