Battalion Wars 2 for Nintendo Wii

Best online, but fun on your own too

This severely underbought game is great fun.

The campaign mode is an entertaining challenge, with a span of about 10 hours (more if you’re a perfectionist) and a difficulty curve that is brilliantly pitched.

The Online modes are great, although I’m not personally very good at it :(. Despite the low number of people owning the game there is generally a small time to wait for each game.

Graphically, it’s pretty, boasting some of the best graphics on the Wii. The storyline is good, if not fantastic. The game controls pretty nicely, and the tutorial campaign gives a good overview of the basic controls, so it’s fairly quick to get into.

A fun Strategy game that deserves more attention than it’s gotten. If you have a few hours and pounds spare, this would be a wise investment.
