The world of football in . Let's Make a Soccer Team! is all-encompassing, as you take full responsibility for the success - or failure - of your club. And when we say all-encompassing, we mean all-encompassing: you are charged with everything from kit design, team sponsorship, stadium construction and extra-curricular activities, right through to the on-field action itself, where you will take training sessions, prowl the touchline in a Stuart Pearce-like manner, and adjust team tactics if necessary.Let's Make a Soccer Team! - like its contemporaneous release, Premier Manager 2006-2007 - is something of a trainer bra version of the aforementioned Football Manager series. There is plenty to occupy the player, but things never get too overwhelming either demands-wise or in an on-screen scrum of activity. Menus are colourful but not too crowded, and easily navigated, and watching the match action unfold - when you eventually get to matchday: there's so much to do before you get there! - is little short of engrossing, as in all games where you have a say in what goes on. If you can satisfy the supporters and the folks in the boardroom - and everyone in between - and fend off interest in your players from other clubs and their owners, all the while dealing with the inevitable media intrusions, then you might just make it to the end of the season. |
